Sunday
I've been really busy this morning, getting ready for my downstate trip to take care of grandson Jerome for the week. I normally come back on Saturday morning but need to return on Friday evening this time, since I'm teaching a sock class on Saturday morning. The class is based on using two circulars, and I've taught it several times already, with some success. I occasionally run into gals that have taken the class and some report that they are going great making socks on two circulars. We start out with worsted wt to insure success and to give them a chance to learn both sock knitting and the two circular method with fast results. Many then go on to sock yarn and smaller needles. The class is two hours over a 3 week period, so there is plenty of time to learn the many techniques needed to master sock knitting.
I've been slugging away on quite a few projects as usual. I get bored with my projects about 3/4 of the way through, so I start something else. Of course, that creates many projects.!!!! Here's a picture of my latest design, using microspun and sz 6 needles. Very fun, but as you can see it still needs a sleeve. Meantime I started a child's top down with a cable panel, and I'm just beginning to do the increases for the raglan seams while creating the cable panel. Lots of fun and very satisfying to me to do a project that calls for a bit of a challenge.

The hardest part of blogging is thinking of a title for my posts. This post is just a few lines so that there's not too much time in between posts. Not really that much to report but I did go to my knitting group today, which was fun as usual. Our group is very loosely organized, and people come and go as they like. It's more social than anything and since it's held at a local restaurant, we get to eat too. Many locals eat here as well so it's a fun time to eat, visit, and of course knit. I took my socks again but didn't make much progress AGAIN!!! Maybe a little too much eating!!! LOL Here's a picture of my sock in progress. I do need to move these to the *work on every day* list so I can cast on another pair, as yet to be determined.

April knitting photos
Here are a few of the projects I've been working on the last 6 weeks or so. All baby sweaters you say?? Mostly except for the two pairs of socks. I love knitting baby sweaters as they go quickly and don't take that much yarn, so I can finish one and start another quickly. Lots of fun. The socks are more labor intensive for me, as I knit 2 at a time on two circulars, so finishing ten rows a day can sometimes take awhile. I slog through though, and really do enjoy knitting socks. I have a few more photos to share, but will save that for another day.

April 16th
I got some new photos of Jerome from winkflash---Here are a couple of my favorites. He loves the outside so much and at 22 months is busy exploring everything including puddles. He is a wonderfully happy boy and just a joy to be with always.
I've been pretty productive on the knitting front too and need to take some photos of my most recent sweater sets. I'm working on socks too, but they go slowly, since I do them all two at a time on two circulars. The up side is when they're done, they're done and they're both the same size. Not that easy for me when I do them one at a time, even though I take careful notes and try very hard to count often and accurately. I really enjoy working with a sport wt and sz 3 needles. I've just ordered some 6 ply opal that was on sale and I look forward to receiving that soon. Just what I needed---more yarn.
